Danko Relić,PhD Executive Director of the World Agency for Accreditation of Public Health Education (APHEA)
The School of Public Health "Andrija Štampar" at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine is proud to share the news of Danko Relić's,PhD appointment from the Department of Medical Statistics, Epidemiology, and Medical Informatics to the position of Executive Director of the Agency for Accreditation of Public Health Education (APHEA). This significant appointment marks the beginning of a new era for APHEA, an organization that is a leader in the accreditation of high-quality, socially responsible, and ethical public health education globally, operating in all six regions of the World Health Organization (WHO).
His appointment is part of a broader restructuring of APHEA's leadership, which now has a new Board of Directors and an Accreditation Committee. These teams bring together experts and representatives from key organizations such as the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER), International Association of National Public Health Institutes (IANPHI), World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA), European Public Health Association (EUPHA), and accredited schools across Europe and worldwide.
Dr. Relić assumes this important role at a challenging time for APHEA. His leadership will be crucial in shaping the agency's future, especially in the context of growing global public health challenges and the need for educational systems that can respond to them in innovative and effective ways.
We congratulate Dr. Relić on this significant achievement and wish him great success!
