Expansion and extension of the PH-SEE network on Public Health Collaboration in South Eastern Europe

This website is a partnership of MetaNET-SEE Project (University of Bielefeld) and the Andrija Štampar School of Public Health, School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the project is linking up both public health institutions and infectious diseases hospitals in South Eastern Europe and Germany. In 2008 the two projects Forum Public Health for SEE-countries and Network of Academic Networks have been joined. During the year 2008 a lot of new institutions and specialists explained their readiness to join the project. In the year 2009, Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Germany are participating in the project, together with 41 co-operating partners. The MetaNET-SEE project thus experiences an increase in the number of partners and an extension of scientific content via a strengthened cooperation between existing academic networks in public health and clinical medicine.
General Aims: To improve training in South Eastern European universities by establishing a sustainable teaching, training and research network in Public Health & Clinical Medicine, and to strengthen the academic connections between universities and university departments within South Eastern Europe, and with German universities and university departments. |
