for the A. Stampar School 75th Anniversary
Mr. President, ministers, director of the Andrija Stampar School, ladies and gentleman,
I have specifically insisted to be present at the celebration of the 75th anniversary
of the Andrija Štampar School of Public Health for four reasons:
- The international reputation of the School and Professor Stampar who is in
WHO very respected figure, was the chair president of the 1st World Assembly.
His statue is in the main hall of WHO building in Geneva.
- Because of the importance of training in public health in order to insure
the continuity and sustainability to this essential component for society, keeping
scientific level oriented for decision making.
- Because of the international dimension of public health and of the school.
- Many public health issues have no boundaries, solidarity is the basic value
for public health and else is determinant factor for peace.
